Ali's Photography Adventure

Hey Everyone!!! It's Ali! :)

So here's a little bit about how I got started with my photography adventure...

I've always had a passion for photography and the arts. I played with a little Fischer Price film camera that had two handles on the side when I was a little kid. Later on my mom bought me a Minolta point and shoot camera. I used my Minolta camera quite a bit. I entered some of my pictures in the 4-H Fair. In high school I was always the one with a disposal camera and then I was one of the first ones with a point and shoot digital camera. In college I took a few photography and photo journalism classes and I was the historian for my sorority pledge class. I've also attended a newborn photography workshop.

In 2009 I was an R.A. at Vincennes University, so a lot of people knew who I was. My peers would ask me to do pictures for their campus groups, graduation, couples, and just some random fun pictures. After that I started a photography business and called it "Ali's Peace of Photography." I began shooting weddings with my parents. I also did sessions for families, newborns, maternity, birthdays, etc.

I'm originally from Princeton, IN. In 2014 I married my Husband, Kyle (we had a beautiful wedding in Mexico shot by the wonderful Joni Bilderback), and moved to the Floyd/Clark county area. I didn't really put myself out there and advertise myself very much since I was new to the area. I shot a few weddings, family, and graduation sessions here and there.

I recently had a baby boy in August of 2017 and I'm constantly taking pictures of him! He's probably going to be sick of it later on in life, but I love being able to capture his monthly milestones and everyday adventures. I guess you can say he's my little model. :)

Long story short.... Now I'm ready to start really getting back into doing photography more often and building my portfolio back up. I'm going to be offering a limited few portfolio building special price sessions.

---Thanks for taking the time to read my photography story! I look forward to meeting you and documenting your story!!! Please check out my older work on here and keep checking back for some new work!!

-Ali
